Persue (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a privacy-first Bible reading and memorization application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how information is handled when you use the app.

This Privacy Policy explains what data Persue uses, how it is stored, and the limited circumstances in which data may be processed by platform providers such as Apple.

Persue is designed to operate entirely on your device. All app data is stored locally using Apple’s SwiftData framework.

The following information may be stored on your device:

• Selected Bible books and chapters
• Reading plan type and settings (repetitions, chapters per day, reading mode)
• Plan start dates and estimated completion dates
• Days completed and reading progress
• Notification preferences and scheduled times

• Verse text and references
• Memorization progress and practice sessions
• Review schedules and completion status
• Practice statistics and accuracy metrics

• Color scheme preferences (light or dark mode)
• Notification preferences
• Haptic feedback settings

• Reading streaks
• Completed days
• Plan completion statistics

All of this information remains on your device unless you choose to enable iCloud sync.

Persue itself does not intentionally collect, transmit, or store user data on external servers.

Specifically:

• No personal information (such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers)
• No account creation or user profiles
• No analytics or usage tracking
• No advertising identifiers
• No location data
• No sale or sharing of user data

While Persue does not collect user data, Apple may collect certain device or usage information as part of operating iOS, iCloud, and the App Store (such as crash logs or download metrics).

This information is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy, not Persue’s, and Persue does not have access to Apple’s system-level data.

All data stored by Persue is used solely to provide app functionality, including:

1. Enabling reading plans and memory verse practice
2. Tracking progress, streaks, and completion statistics
3. Remembering app preferences and settings
4. Sending local notifications (only if you enable them)

No data is used for advertising, tracking, or analytics purposes.

• All data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework
• Data is protected by your device’s security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
• Persue does not transmit data to external servers

• If iCloud is enabled for Persue, your data may sync across your Apple devices
• This sync is handled entirely by Apple’s iCloud infrastructure
• Persue does not have access to data stored in your iCloud account

• App data may be included in device backups (iCloud or Finder/iTunes backups)
• These backups are controlled by Apple and your device settings
• Persue does not access or manage backups

If you enable notifications:

• Persue uses Apple’s User Notifications framework
• Notifications are generated locally on your device
• Persue does not send server-based push notifications
• Notification content is based solely on your reading plans and memory verses

You can disable or modify notifications at any time through the app or iOS Settings.

All data is accessible within the app through:

• Plans for reading plan information
• Memory for memory verse data
• Profile for statistics and settings

You may delete your data by:

• Removing individual reading plans or memory verses
• Uninstalling the app, which removes all locally stored data

You may:

• Enable or disable notifications in-app
• Change notification times and preferences
• Manage notification permissions in iOS Settings

Persue currently does not provide data export functionality. All data remains accessible within the app and on your device.

Persue is suitable for users of all ages. Persue does not intentionally collect personal information from children or adults.

Because Persue operates entirely on-device and does not transmit personal data, risks associated with unauthorized data collection from minors are minimized.

Persue does not integrate with third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or external SDKs.

The app uses only Apple-provided frameworks, including:

• SwiftData (local data persistence)
• SwiftUI (user interface)
• UserNotifications (local notifications)
• Foundation (core functionality)

These frameworks do not transmit user data to Persue or third parties.

• Data remains on your device as long as the app is installed
• You may delete individual data at any time
• Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data
• If iCloud sync is enabled, data may remain in iCloud until you disable sync or delete it through Apple

Persue does not sell, share, or collect personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

As a result, Persue does not engage in activities that typically trigger CCPA requirements. However, users may:

• View all data within the app
• Delete data at any time
• Use the app without data collection or tracking

Persue does not engage in data processing activities that typically trigger GDPR requirements.

Nevertheless, Persue follows privacy-by-design principles, including:

• Data minimization
• Purpose limitation
• On-device storage
• Security through device protections

If future versions of Persue introduce features that require additional permissions or data usage, this Privacy Policy will be updated and users will be informed through app updates or in-app notices.
